A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PUBLICATION OF
ORDINANCE NO. 641
BY TITLE AND SUMMARY
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lake City has adopted Ordinance No. 641, titled “An Ordinance Amending The Lake City Municipal Code Title XV: Land Use Chapter 155: Zoning Ordinance-Cannabis Regulations” and
WHEREAS, the City Charter allows publication by title and summary in the case of lengthy ordinances; and
WHEREAS, the Ordinance is six pages in length; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the following summary will clearly inform the public of the intent and effect of the Ordinance; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City of Lake City City Council, that the following summary is hereby approved for publication:
SUMMARY PUBLICATION
ORDINANCE NO. 641
The City of Lake City City Council has adopted Ordinance No. 641, titled “An Ordinance Amending The Lake City Municipal Code Title XV: Land Use Chapter 155: Zoning Ordinance-Cannabis Regulations.” The Ordinance establishes zoning regulations for cannabis and hemp businesses by confirming which zoning districts are appropriate for cannabis and hemp businesses and by establishing performance standards, including buffer zones and hours of operation for cannabis retailers. The Ordinance is effective upon publication.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Lake City City Council:
1. The City Clerk is directed to publish this summary in lieu of publication of the entire ordinance.
2. The City Clerk is directed to post a copy of the entire text of Ordinance No. 641 at City Hall, the City of Lake City Public Library, and on the City of Lake City web site for a period of not less than 10 days. In addition, a printed copy of Ordinance No. 641 is available for inspection by any person during regular office hours at the Lake City City Hall.
