SUMMARY OF SCHOOL BOARD MEETING MINUTES

The School Board of ISD #813 met in regular session on December 16, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Media Center. Complete minutes are on file in the Superintendent’s Office, 300 S. Garden St., Lake City, MN 55041 or at www.lake-city.k12.mn.us. 7 board members and 17 community members were present.
1. Adopt agenda (mcu).
2. Truth in Taxation presentation and opportunity for public comment. No public comment.
3. Approved consent agenda (mcu).
4. No school December 23-January 3 for Winter Break.
5. January 2-3, 2025, Staff Development Days.
6. Organizational School Board Meeting January 10, 2025 at 7:00 a.m. District Board Room.
7. MSBA Annual Leadership Conference - January 16-17, 2025.
8. No School on January 20, 2025 - Staff Development.
9. Tentative January 27, 2025 - next regular Board meeting at 7:00 p.m.
10. Principal Berge gave the High School report.  
11. Principal Aeschlimann gave the Bluff View report.
12. Dir. Kvasnicka gave the Comm Ed report.
13. Approved Final 2024-2025 Paraprofessional Seniority List (mcu).
14. Approved Daktronics Scoreboard Proposal with amendment that all anchors and contracts in place before PO submitted (mcu with 6-0 vote, 1 member abstained).
15. Approved the resolution to Certify Final Levy for 2024 Payable in 2025 (mcu).
16. Approved Advertisement for Bids and Bid Schedule for Roofing Project (mcu).
17. First reading of policies 714 and 1526.
18. Approved the listed donations (mcu).
19. Approved the additional Fine Arts Assignments of Robotics Volunteer: Corey Laqua (mcu).
20. Approved the resignations of Christine Anderson as Payroll/Benefits Coordinator (mcu).
21. Approved the retirement of Greg Wyatt as Head Night Custodian (mcu).
22. Recognized Members Balow and Pavelka for their years on the School Board.
23. Supt. Wright gave her report.
24. Board members gave reports on recent committee meetings.
25. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 7:57 p.m. (mcu).
