REGULAR MEETING
SUMMARY OF SCHOOL BOARD MEETING MINUTES

The School Board of ISD #813 met in regular session on January 20, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Media Center. Complete minutes are on file in the Superintendent’s Office, 300 S. Garden St., Lake City, MN 55041 or at www.lake-city.k12.mn.us. 7 board members and 13 community members were present.
1. Adopt agenda (mcu).
2. Board Member Minute given by each board member.
3. School Board Members Wayne Peters and Heath Oeltjen recognized for recent awards.
4. Marie Kruse was recognized for her MREA Educator of Excellence Award and gave a presentation.
5. Principal Berge gave the High School report in written form.  
6. Principal Aeschlimann gave the Bluff View report.
7. Dir. Kvasnicka gave the Comm Ed report.
8. Supt. Wright gave her report along with a Mid-Year Goal presentation.
9. Board members gave reports on recent committee meetings.
10. No school January 23, 2026 - Staff Development Day.
11. No school February 16, 2026 for President’s Day.
12. February 23, 2026 - next regular Board meeting at 7:00 p.m.
13. Adopted consent agenda (mcu).
14. Approved the Board Committees/Advisory Assignments (mcu).
15. Approved policies 203 and 208 (mcu).
16. Approved the resolution for donations and gifts (mcu).
17. Approved the resolution Directing Administration to Make Recommendations for Reductions in Programs and Positions for 2026-2027 if Needed (mcu).
18. Approved the Paraprofessional Contract for 2025-2027 and Memorandum of Understanding (mcu).
19. Approved the Superintendent Contract for 2026-2029 and Memorandum of Understanding (mcu).
20. Approved the Individual Work Agreements for 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 for Non-Certified Staff Fringe Benefit Agreement, Director of Building and Grounds, Community Education Director, Technology and Network Coordinator, and 2025 Work Agreement for Business Manager (mcu).
21. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 7:57 pm (mcu).
