SUMMARY OF SCHOOL BOARD MEETING MINUTES
The School Board of ISD #813 met in regular session on June 20, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Media Center. Complete minutes are on file in the Superintendent’s Office, 300 S. Garden St., Lake City, MN 55041 or at www.Lake-City.k12.mn.us. 7 board members and 18 community members were present.
1. Adopt agenda. Motion carried unanimously. (mcu)
2. Approved consent agenda. (mcu)
3. July 17, 2023 next regular Board Meeting at 7:00 p.m.
4. Principal Berge reported on the High School in written form.
Principal Aeschilmann gave the Bluff View report & year end report.
5. Dir. Kvasnicka gave the Comm Ed Report in written form.
6. Andy Bertram from North Risk Partners Insurance reviewed the school
insurance renewal.
7. Approved the fee schedule for the 23-24 school year. (mcu)
8. Approved the North Risk Insurance proposal. (mcu)
9. Approved the Lunchtime Solutions as the food service provider and the Summer food program contract. (mcu)
10. Approved MSBA membership and policy services. (mcu)
11. Approved SEE membership. (mcu)
12. Approved Clifton Larson Allen for the District’s audit. (mcu)
13. Approved the budget for the 23-24 school year. (mcu)
14. Approved the Hiawatha Valley School Linked Behavioral Health Service contract for the 23-24 school year. (mcu)
15. Approved the MDE Long Term Maintenance for Lake City FY 25. (mcu)
16. Approved the 23-24 Read Well By Third Grade literacy plan. (mcu)
17. Approved the Pepin Manufacturing TIF plan. Vote 6-0, Member Siewert abstained.
18. The Board recognized the students and their coaches that participated at State.
19. Approved the donations list. (mcu)
20. Approved the resignations, phased retirement and new hires. (mcu)
21. Superintendent Enger shared his report.
22. Board reports were shared
23. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 8:38 p.m. (mcu)
