REGULAR MEETING
SUMMARY OF SCHOOL BOARD MEETING MINUTES
The School Board of ISD #813 met in regular session on May 18, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Media Center. Complete minutes are on file in the Superintendent’s Office, 300 S. Garden St., Lake City, MN 55041 or at www.lake-city.k12.mn.us. 7 board members and 27 community members were present.
1. Adopt agenda (mcu).
2. Board Member Minute given by each board member.
3. State Participants were recognized for Speech, Adapted Bowling, and FFA.
4. Trevor Narum and Amanda Kvasnicka gave a presentation on Bound and Arux.
5. Principal Berge gave the High School report.
6. Principal Aeschlimann gave the Bluff View report.
7. Dir. Kvasnicka gave the Comm Ed report.
8. Supt. Wright gave her report.
9. Board members gave reports on recent committee meetings.
10. No School Monday, May 25, 2026 Memorial Day.
11. Last Day of School - Seniors May 28, 2026 and Retreat & graduation practice May 29, 2026; Students - June 4, 2026; Teachers June 5, 2026 with lunch at 11:30 and awards program to follow.
12. Commencement - Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 2 p.m.
13. June 15, 2026 - next regular Board meeting at 7:00 p.m.
14. Adopted consent agenda (mcu).
15. Approved the written response of the Level III Grievance (mcu).
16. Approved the following policies: 615 (mcu).
17. Approved the review of policies 801, 805, 807, 1525, 1540, 1799, 1825 (mcu).
18. Approved participation in the National School Lunch Program (mcu).
19. Approved the FY27 EHS Management Services Proposal (mcu).
20. Tabled approval of the 2026-2027 Fee Schedule to the June Board Meeting (mcu).
21. Approved the resolution for donations & gifts (mcu).
22. Approved the updated Non-Certified Support Staff Wage Handbook (mcu).
23. Approved the Memorandum of Understanding regarding one-time payout of Severance Pay (mcu).
24. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 8:44 p.m. (mcu).
