SUMMARY OF SCHOOL BOARD MEETING MINUTES
The School Board of ISD #813 met in regular session on May 19, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Media Center. Complete minutes are on file in the Superintendent’s Office, 300 S. Garden St., Lake City, MN 55041 or at www.lake-city.k12.mn.us. 7 board members and 35 community members were present.
1. Adopt agenda (mcu).
2. Board Member Minute given by each board member.
3. State Participants were recognized in Speech, Adapted Bowling, and FFA.
4. Doug Grout gave a presentation on Tax Increment Financing.
5. Principal Berge gave the High School report.
6. Principal Aeschlimann gave the Bluff View report.
7. Dir. Kvasnicka gave the Comm Ed report.
8. Supt. Wright gave her report.
9. Board members gave reports on recent committee meetings.
10. No School Monday, May 26, 2025 - Memorial Day.
11. Board Work Session - Tuesday, June 3, 2025, 7:30 p.m.
12. Last Day of school for Seniors - Thursday, May 29, 2025, Retreat & graduation practice - Friday, May 30, 2025; Most Students - Thursday, June 5, 2025; Teachers - Friday, June 6, 2025.
13. Commencement - Sunday, June 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m.
14. June 16, 2025 - next regular Board meeting at 7:00 p.m.
15. Approved consent agenda (mcu).
16. Approved Policies: 506, 515, 516, and 522 (mcu).
17. First Reading of policies 413, 425, 512, and 704.
18. Approved the participation in the National School Lunch Program for 2025-2026 (mcu).
19. Approved the contract for the 2025-2026 school year with Lunchtime Solutions and Addendum (mcu).
20. Approved the FY26 EHS Management Services Proposal - IEA (mcu).
21. Reviewed the proposed 2025-2026 Fee Schedule.
22. Approved the resolution for donations (mcu).
23. Approved the Accounts Payable & Receivable Clerk Contract (mcu).
24. Approved the written public comment regarding proposed TIF District 1-20 (mcu).
25. Approved the closed session for labor negotiations strategy at 8:30 p.m. (mcu).
26. Adjournment of closed session at 9:47 p.m. (mcu).
27. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 9:48 p.m. (mcu).
