REGULAR MEETING
SUMMARY OF SCHOOL BOARD MEETING MINUTES
The School Board of ISD #813 met in regular session on July 15, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. in the Lincoln Media Center. Complete minutes are on file in the Superintendent’s Office, 300 S. Garden St., Lake City, MN 55041 or at www.lake-city.k12.mn.us. 7 board members and 7 community members were present.
1. Adopt agenda (mcu).
2. Approved consent agenda (mcu).
3. August 19, 2024 - next regular Board meeting at 7:00 p.m.
4. Election Filing for 4 open seats: July 30-August 13 at 5:00 p.m., District Office is open from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
5. Principal Berge gave the High School and Year End Reports.
6. Principal Aeschilmann gave the Bluff View and Year End Reports.
7. Dir. Kvasnicka gave the Comm Ed report in written form.
8. Activities Director Trevor Narum gave a presentation on Nordic Ski.
9. Operating Levy Renewal was discussed.
10. First Reading of policy 809 - Naming Rights.
11. Approved transfer of $672.37 of bad debt to the general fund for accounts deemed uncollectible in the food service fund for fiscal year 2023-2024 (mcu).
12. Approved Lake City and Family Service Rochester Memorandum of Understanding (mcu).
13. Approved addition of Nordic Ski to MSHSL Resolution (mcu).
14. Approved the listed donations (mcu).
15. Approved the new hires (mcu).
16. Approved the 2024/25 Fall Coaching Assignments (mcu).
17. Approved 50.5 hours of vacation carry over for Superintendent Ariana Wright to be used in the first 6 months of the 24-25 school year (mcu).
18. Supt. Wright gave her report.
19. Board members gave reports on recent committee meetings.
20. Approved closed session at 8:23 p.m. for superintendent annual evaluation (mcu).
21. Closed session was called to order at 8:30 p.m.
22. A motion was made to adjourn the closed session at 8:58 p.m. (mcu).
23. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 8:59 p.m. (mcu).
