NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LIVESTOCK
FEEDLOT PERMIT
Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116, that Circle K Family Farms, has made application to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency or the County of Goodhue for a permit to construct or expand a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.
The Circle K Family Farms feedlot is located in SW 1⁄4, Sec 11, Belvidere Township, Goodhue County. The existing facility consists of Swine >300 pounds 6517 head/2606.8 animal units, Swine 55-300 pounds 790 head/237 animal units, Swine <55 pounds 600 head/30 animal units, swine are housed in total confinement barns, manure storage areas consist of poured concrete pits and slurry store. The proposed expansion consists of Swine >300 pounds 712 head/285 animal units, Swine 55-300 pounds 1000 head/300 animal units, total confinement barns, and poured concrete pits. The final capacity will be 3458.6 animal units.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
