NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BEFORE THE
WABASHA COUNTY
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
The Wabasha County Board of Adjustment will conduct public hearings starting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026 for the purpose of hearing evidence regarding the following requests:
1) Public hearing on the variance application submitted by Laurie Mulhollam requesting a variance from Minnesota Rules 7080.2150, subp. 2(F) to place a septic drain field within the minimum setback distance from structures. The subject property is Wabasha County parcel R08.00227.00 and is located in Section 06, Township 111 North, Range 12 West of Lake Township (73466 318th Ave., Lake City, MN 55041).
2) Public hearing on the variance application submitted by William Schjolberg requesting a variance from Chapter 11.02(2) of the Wabasha County Zoning Ordinance to construct an accessory structure within the Bluff Impact Zone. The subject property is Wabasha County parcel R15.00193.06 and is located in Section 22, Township 109, Range 10 of Watopa Township (16828 County Road 14, Kellogg, MN 55945).
3) Public hearing on the variance application submitted by Hayden Leonard & Haley Bauman requesting a variance from Chapter 6.06(4) of the Wabasha County Zoning Ordinance to establish a new dwelling within the 1,000 ft. setback of a registered feedlot as per the Minn. 7020 Rules. The subject property is Wabasha County Parcel R03.00283.06 and is located in Section 32, Township 110 North, Range 13 West of Gillford Township (36296 Highway 60, Zumbro Falls, MN 55991).
4) Public hearing on the variance application submitted by Travis Grobe requesting a variance from Chapter 4.06(4) of the Wabasha County Zoning Ordinance to establish a new dwelling within the 1,000 ft. setback of a registered feedlot as per the Minn. 7020 Rules. The subject property is Wabasha County parcel R16.00029.03 and is located in Section 06, Township 110 North, Range 12 West of West Albany Township (67456 313th Ave., Lake City, MN 55041).
5) Public hearing on the variance application submitted by Jonathon Monson requesting a variance from Chapter 4.06(2) of the Wabasha County Zoning Ordinance to place an accessory structure within the required 10’ setback from a property line. The subject property is Wabasha County Parcel R10.00104.06 and is located in Section 32, Township 109, Range 09 of Minneiska Township (12960 County Road 29, Altura, MN 55910).
6) Public hearing on the variance application submitted by Theresa & Daren Hofschulte requesting a variance from Chapter 13.07(3)(b) of the Wabasha County Zoning Ordinance to expand an existing structure within the structural setback from the Ordinary Highwater Level (OHWL) on General Development Lakes. The subject property is Wabasha County parcel R05.00968.00 and is located in Section 02, Township 110 North, Range 10 West of Greenfield Township (67868 County Road 76, Wabasha, MN 55981).
The public hearings will take place in the County Board Room, Courthouse Annex, 625 Jefferson Avenue, Wabasha, Minnesota. Any interested person may provide testimony whether in person or by way of written comment submitted to the Wabasha Zoning Department. Written comments will be read into the record during the respective public hearing.
The applications are on file in the Wabasha County Zoning Department and may be reviewed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
