NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
BEFORE THE
WABASHA COUNTY
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
The Wabasha County Board of Adjustment will conduct public hearings starting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025 for the purpose of hearing evidence regarding the following requests:
1) Continuation of a hearing on the application submitted by Shawn Conrad requesting a variance from Chapter 11.02 (7) of the Wabasha County Zoning Ordinance in order to construct a driveway in a bluff impact zone on a slope greater than 30%. The subject property is identified as Wabasha County Parcel R07.00172.00 and is located in Section 21, Township 109 North, Range 13 West, in Hyde Park Township.
2) Public hearing on the application submitted by Matthew & Amy Ketchum requesting a variance from Chapters 13.10 (4) (d) to exceed 25% of impervious surface coverage for a lot in the shoreland zone; 11.02 (1) to expand a structure in the bluff impact zone; and Minnesota Stats 394.36 to expand a non-conforming dwelling that does not meet the property line setback. The subject property is identified as Wabasha County parcel R05.00487.57 and is located in Section 19, Township 110 North, Range 9 West, of Greenfield Township (64584 140th Ave., Wabasha, MN).
The public hearings will take place in the County Board Room, Courthouse Annex, 625 Jefferson Avenue, Wabasha, Minnesota. Any interested person may provide testimony whether in person or by way of written comment submitted to the Wabasha Zoning Department. Written comments will be read into the record during the respective public hearing.
The applications are on file in the Wabasha County Zoning Department and may be reviewed between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
