Kohrs places ninth at state, Koontz earns All-State honors

Five Lake City High School students competed at the state adapted bowling competition.

Maddy Kohrs received a medal for 9th place. For singles, she bowled 106 and 87 (season average of 75).

The other singles bowlers all bowled games above their averages, but it was not enough to place, Coach Kim Bobb said.

In singles, Michael Koontz bowled a 152 and 99 (season average 108), Ean Burrows bowled an 87 and 101 (season average 80), Landan Glander bowled a 97 and 109 (season average 95).

For doubles, Andrew Hawn bowled an 87 and 79 (season average 78) while his partner Michael bowled a 93 and 139. For the other doubles team, Ean Burrows bowled an 83 and 66, while his partner Landan, bowled a 93 and 118.

“So proud of all these bowlers and a huge shout out to the parents for their support during the season,” Bobb said.

Michael Koontz received all state honors for the CI Boys division. They take the top 20 bowlers in the state who had the highest averages during the year. Michael was the ninth best average in the state with his 108, Bobb said.
