Lake City wins front end of K-M triangular over Byron
The Lake City Tiger wrestling team continued to compete hard last week, even though they won only one of three duals. Last Tuesday the Tigers defeated Byron 39-25 in the first of two matches in a triangular at Kasson-Mantorville. Lake City then fell 77-0 to the KoMets, who are top ranked in Class AA and are also nationally ranked.
Then on Thursday Lake City was beaten by the third ranked team in Class A, Goodhue, by a score of 52-13.
The win over Byron was big in that it has been a rarity in the last several years that Lake City has been able to defeat the Bears.
