‘Freedom to Walk’ has begun, and it’s free to participate

June 7 was the start of the Walking Lake Pepin (WLP) community fitness challenge. (See walkinglakepepin.com for how to participate and details.)

Participants who signed up for WLP to commit to starting or increasing their walking or other physical activity this summer started to log their minutes or miles of walking, biking, swimming, jogging or other moderate physical activity on June 7. The challenge continues until Aug. 15 when the participants can turn in their log sheets for a prize drawing.
