5K-9 raises over $2,100
The Hiawatha Animal Humane Society (HAHS) had 45 participants in its annual 5K-9 fundraiser on Saturday, May 10.
Participants and pets ran or walked a 5K course that began at Ohuta Beach and followed the River Walk toward Hok-Si-La Park before returning along the same route.
“Between the race fees and donations, HAHS raised $2,175.00,” the group said in a news release. “All of the money raised went directly to HAHS, thanks to our sponsors: Anytime Fitness, Lake Pepin Pet Clinic, Kwik Trip, and Thrivent Financial.”
