Art classes open to all
A local artist is offering two low-cost art classes in an effort to bolster Lake City’s arts community.
Pat Swanson holds free sketching classes every Tuesday from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church.
There is no charge for the sessions, but participants must provide their own materials. Swanson recommends a sketchbook (though a simple notebook will work), 2B and 2H pencils and a kneaded eraser.
“Anybody can come in and just jump right in,” Swanson said. “They don’t need a lot of experience.”
