Bluff View’s sensory room on the move

Bluff View Elementary School students will have a more spacious, better equipped place to recover from overstimulation and practice coping skills thanks to a grant.

Special Education Teachers Hailey Pottinger and Sarah Cowell applied for and received a $7,000 grant from the Mary Jo Schad and Bob Strauss Innovation in Education Award.

The money will be used to convert an existing room at the school into a sensory room full of stimuli for several senses.
