Boege becomes locomotive engineer

Lake City resident Ben Boege has been promoted to locomotive engineer by the Minnesota Transportation Museum (MTM).

Boege has been a member of the Museum for several years and has taken the necessary training to develop the skills required of a locomotive engineer, according to the museum. Boege completed his “final examination” by demonstrating to Engineer Supervisor Nick Modders that he had mastered the requirements mandated by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Railroad Administration.
