Bridge lights extinguished during mayfly hatch

Motorists crossing the Highway 63 bridge in Red Wing and the Highway 60 bridge in Wabasha will notice that there are no overhead lights until the mayflies are done hatching, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).

The lights on the bridges over the Mississippi River in Red Wing and Wabasha were turned off to reduce the number of mayflies on the bridge over the next few weeks.
