City plans brush, small tree removal along Hwy. 61

Work crews will be conducting small diameter tree and brush removal within Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) right of way along Highway 61 adjacent to Lake Pepin in Lake City, according to MnDOT.
MnDOT issued a permit Nov. 20 for the work to be done within highway right of way. The right of way will be used to access the location. Work will be completed without disruptions to through traffic. The work is anticipated to be weather dependent and will take two to three weeks to be completed prior to April 30, 2018.
