Consider a homeless pet rather than Easter chicks, bunnies
Spring appears to be taking its time to arrive this year, though in any case, Easter will soon be here.
Our volunteers at the Hiawatha Animal Humane Society (HAHS) wish you and your family a love and a joy filled holiday.
We also know that although it is often tempting to offer live chicks, ducklings and bunnies as Easter gifts to our children, their adorable-ness quickly fades for a multitude of reasons, the primary one being that they become your responsibility for their lifetimes.
