Conversations in history at the historical society
When the Lake City Historical Society hosted its Open Hours event last Tuesday we presented Voices from the Past in the form of recordings of past residents. As could be expected, these stories sparked conversations that could be described as Voices of the Present—reflecting on the past.
And while we had an agenda of names and topics to present from our Oral History project, we had no way of knowing who or what would be brought up in the unscripted conversations that followed.
