Fire department shares rare view of Fourth of July fireworks show

“Getting assigned to the fire boat definitely has its pros during the 4th of July.”

That was the message accompanying a video posted by the Lake City Fire Department over the weekend.

It shows the view from the water after nightfall July 4 as fireworks ascend from the launch site at Marina Point and explode in the air.

The explosions reflect in the water below as smoke from the launch area wafts out over Lake Pepin.
