Firefighters gear up for annual dance
A Lake City tradition more than six score years old continues this Saturday, July 3, with the Lake City Firemen’s Dance.
After last year’s in-person event had to be cancelled, this year’s dance is coming together on a shorter-than-usual time-frame because of uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions on gatherings.
Because of the unknowns, they were about two months behind in planning, and the envelopes with information about the dance went out about a month later than usual.
