Habitat for Humanity readies site for its fourth Lake City Home

Work has begun at the site of Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity’s fourth Lake City home, and its first since 2020.

The site is located at the corner of Mound Court and North 10th Street. Goodhue County Habitat for Humanity purchased the lot late last year from the City of Lake City for $5,000.

The lot was left over from a 2017 initiative where the city offered lots for $1,000 on the condition a home would be built within a certain amount of time. The lot was sold but later reverted back to the city.
