Heffernan goes big with firefighter donation in honor of 50th year
For more than 40 years, Tom Heffernan Ford in Lake City has donated a vehicle to serve as the grand prize in the annual Lake City Fireman’s Dance raffle.
Heffernan estimates the value of the donated vehicles exceeds $200,000.
This year, to celebrate the dealership’s 50th anniversary, he decided to donate a vehicle that’s more expensive than usual: a white 2014 Ford Explorer SUV with an estimated value of $15,000, he said.
The raffle is part of the 125th annual Lake City Fireman’s Dance fundraiser planned for July 1 at the fire hall.
