A historic collaboration on Center Street

Two historical groups and on Lake City building owner came together to promote both Winter Fest and history with a window display located at 116 West Center St.

Dan Meincke donated use of a store front window.  Members of Lake City Historical Society and Wabasha County Historical Society created a winter and home scene with artifacts of past decades.

The display coincides with a monthlong celebration of the 150th anniversary of American author Laura Ingalls Wilder’s birth (see related story).
