Historical Society asking public’s opinion of ‘The Wave’

The Lake City Historical Society (LCHS) is asking for your help in assessing community sentiment about preserving “The Wave” sculpture. Since “The Wave” commemorates a historical event that is unique to Lake City and is an important part of its identity, the Lake City Historical Society will advocate that it be returned to its original location in Ohuta Park. It was installed there in 1976 where it overlooks the site where Ralph Samuelson introduced the innovative new sport of waterskiing in 1922.
