Library program on interesting cemetery monuments is March 12

The Lake City Public Library invites the public to “Metallic Memorials: The Curious History of Zinc Cemetery Monuments.”

This free program takes place on Thursday, March 12th at 6:30 p.m. and is led by local resident Christine Schlesser.

“Attendees will learn about the rare zinc monuments found throughout historic cemeteries in the United States and what they can teach us about the history and people of the areas where they are found,” the library said in a news release.
