Mayo supports shelter, United Way programs

Two local nonprofit organizations received donations from Mayo Clinic Health System.
Mayo Clinic Health System donated $5,000 to the newly opened Hope and Harbor Shelter in Goodhue County. The shelter, which is sponsored by several area churches, used the donation to purchase new towels and sleeping mats, and other necessities. The shelter will be open during the winter to provide emergency shelter for homeless people.
