McKenzie, Johnson reunite for movie soundtrack

Two former Lake Citians joined forces in the United Kingdom to record the soundtrack to a Mexican film honoring a Polish priest tortured in a concentration camp during World War II.

The soundtrack to the film “Max and Me” will be released Friday, March 9, by Sony Classical International.

Lake City native Mark McKenzie composed the score. One hundred thirty-five London musicians gathered at Abbey Road Studios to record it under the direction of former Lincoln High School band teacher Gordon Johnson.
