Memorial Day services planned around the area

People in the Lake City area have many opportunities to pay tribute to the men and women who have served in the United States armed forces this Memorial Day, May 29.

The Lake City Memorial Day service begins at 10 a.m. in Patton Park with the presentation of the colors by the VFW and American Legion Color Guards. The event will feature patriotic music by the Lake City High School band, prayers, speeches, poetry, a salute to Gold Star Mothers and honored dead and a rifle salute.
