New community education director is ready to serve young, old and in-between

Amanda Durand’s ascension to the head of the community education program happened slowly, then all at once.
The Lake City native returned to Lake City in 2013 after a decade spent in the Twin Cities teaching pre-school and directing KinderCares.
Her first job back in the Lake City School District was managing its before- and after-school child-care program, now known as Tiger Time.
