You never know who or what you will find at the Lake City Historical Society’s (LCHS) Open Hours at City Hall. Last week’s interactions included assisting a historian from St. Paul doing research on the stone overlook at Government Pier, friendly facetime with LCHS Board members, and neighbors greeting new neighbors. Any number of topics are discussed ranging from breweries to brass bands, as well as historic homes, hometown memories and tourism in the 1930’s and 1940’s.
