Pedestrian ramp replacement meant to fix drainage issues

West Chestnut Street at Hwy 61 is undergoing repairs, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).

Crews will be reconstructing the pedestrian ramp and gutter to help with drainage issues at a low spot in that area.

The work is expected to be finished by Oct. 15, weather permitting.

MnDOT also plans to rip rap around a stormwater outlet near Green Street in Lake City and replace sand in the paver joints around downtown, according to Public Affairs Coordinator Sheila Thoma.
