Student groups tour four local manufacturing facilities on Oct. 19

As part of Minnesota Manufacturing Month, the Lake City Chamber of Commerce, Workforce Development, Inc., and the Lake City Port Authority organized student tours of four Lake City facilities on Oct. 19.

Over 30 students from Lake City’s Lincoln High School got to see what life is like on the job at Ardent Mills, Hearth and Home Technologies, Acrotech, and Valley Craft. They were greeted with presentations, in-depth tours, and even goodies such as baseball hats and water bottles by the Lake City employers.
