Out into the cold embrace of October I walk. The light taken away, no sunshine to light the day. Only darkened clouds show in the sky. Dead leaves lie on the dying flesh of the earth. The cold gripping at my skin, almost whispering in my ear: “Go back inside.” The sky looks like the sun never was, the air cold like warmth had never come to be. Time to walk into the images of the dying times….the dying season.
