Three bands headline Oak Center General Store benefit concert on Dec. 15
Iowa singer-songwriter Greg Brown will join Erik Koskinen and the Pistol Whippin’ Party Penguins for a benefit concert at the Oak Center General Store near Lake City on Sunday, Dec. 15.
Proceeds from the event will help pay for repairs and maintenance at the 106-year-old country store and concert hall.
The complex, which has hosted hundreds of performances, square dances and other community gatherings over the past 40 years, needs a new boiler and other improvements to continue operating, organizers say.
