Public speaking.  Two words that put fear into the minds of people who hear them spoken.  At Lincoln High School (LHS) there are two ways in which students can perfect their skills in this area: by participating in competitive speech, an extracurricular, and taking speech class, a credit required for graduation.  There are many similarities between these two activities, but also major differences.
