Updated: Band to premiere new composition
The Lake City High School bands’ spring concert March 28 will be many things: a birthday party, a celebration of the Lake Pepin area, a tribute to a departed band member and the premiere of a brand new piece of music that incorporates them all.
Composer Lane Powell’s “Spiritual Reflections” will have its first public performance.
Powell is a composer and former high school band director from Harmony, Minn., and also a friend of Lake City instrumental music teacher Paul Holland.
