Veterans Empowered fundraiser successful

On Sunday, July 5, local nonprofit Veterans Empowered and Wild Wings Plaza sponsored a golf tournament to raise funds for disabled veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The Lake City Honor Guard performed the flag raising ceremony, Dr. Steve Lansing introduced Lake City Mayor Brian Quinn, and the Honor Bell for all American veterans 1776 to 2026 was solemnly tolled by Vietnam Veteran Gary Thronson of Rochester.
