Volunteers sought for 5K-9 event
The Hiawatha Aminal Humane Society is seeking volunteers to help with its 5K-9 Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, May 18.
Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m. at Ohuta Park on the lake in downtown in Lake City, with the race beginning at 9 a.m.
“We are asking for people willing to spend a couple of hours with us on site to help in various functions of the event,” society spokesperson Karen Cooper said. “If you can help us that day, please call Teri at 651-345-4401. As always, thanks for your support!”
