On June 12, the 2019 Walking Lake Pepin walkers headed to Frontenac State Park. Ruth Schneider led the group on a hike showing the group some of the 88 bluebird houses along four trails that are at the park. Ruth assists the Bluebird Recovery Program in weekly monitoring of these houses for eggs, hatches and fledged bluebirds. Ruth and others continue this monitoring for 12-14 weeks each summer. Ruth has been participating with this bluebird project for 17 years.
