Weaver United Methodist Church closing June 4

It’s a difficult time. Members of the church, which was established in 1885 as Weaver Methodist Church, voted on April 16 to close it up.
Ozanne said church newsletters are sent to about 30 households. And over the past six months one regular worshiper died, one moved away, and two others are too frail to attend church anymore.
Services since Jan. 1 have consistently included less than 10 people.
