Woman’s Club celebrates 130 years with event at historic Lake City city hall

To celebrate their 130th anniversary as the oldest civic organization in Lake City, the Woman’s Club returned home to their original meeting place on the second floor of City Hall.

Hostesses Valerie Ross, Teri Pepin, Peggy Berg, Georgene Arndt and Kim Solheid paid homage to the club’s founding by setting out a traditional tea with an elegant assortment of delicious treats. The cherished silver tea service used for earlier Woman’s Club meetings was given pride of place in the display case set up by the Lake City Historical Society (LCHS).
