Woman’s Club holds concert, looks forward to anniversary tea
For the second Sunday in a row, the Woman’s Club of Lake City was a friendly presence in Patton Park with their sponsorship and support of the Turkey River All Stars on July 7, the popular Dixieland jazz band that features Lake City’s own banjo-picking Denny Robertson. The weather cooperated and a large crowd turned out for this annual event.
It was fitting that the performance was held in Patton Park since this beautiful city park exists thanks to the efforts of Lake City women in the early 20th century to design and create it.
