Woman’s Club hosts perennially popular Turkey River All-Stars

Overcast skies couldn’t dampen the spirits of the crowd gathered in Patton Park on Sunday to hear the lively sounds of Dixieland Jazz offered by the Turkey River All Stars.

Blue Skies was just one of the of the musical numbers which included an original song about the group and its proud claim to be “the most unknown jazz band” among more well-known but not necessarily more talented bands. Performers included Debbie Schreyer, the only Minnesotan in the Banjo Hall of Fame and Lake City’s own Denny Robertson.
