Woman’s Club luncheon focuses on pharmacy, photography, funding and fun

The Woman’s Club of Lake City (WCLC) hosted its annual Adult Scholarship Luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Our featured speaker was Lake City native Megan Ahrens who is a pharmacist at both Kennedy Drug by Sterling and the Mayo Clinic Health System in Lake City. Megan holds a doctorate degree in pharmacology from Drake University and she shared details of their unique program that bestows a PhD at completion of their 6-8 year program while incorporating all the requirements for bachelor and masters degrees.
