Woman’s Club makes fact-finding field trip to Faribault woolen mill

Don’t wash wool! Woolen items should not be immersed in water. Spot clean for stains and line dry to freshen whether it’s a blanket, sweater or long johns.

This was just one of the many things the Woman’s Club of Lake City learned when we toured the Faribault Woolen Mill last Friday. Our guide Michelle graduated with a fashion design degree and was extremely knowledgeable about the entire process of turning raw wool into beautiful woolen goods.
