Woman’s Club remains dedicated to a beautiful and welcoming Lake City

One of the first priorities of the Woman’s Club of Lake City (WCLC) when we organized in 1894 was to preserve and enhance the natural beauty of the town and to see that “Lake City can never be a city without a park”. Patton Park was created with the support of the Woman’s Club and a large stone urn in the park commemorates their efforts.
