World champion power lifter Christy Birch speaks to Kiwanis Club

The Lake City Kiwanis Club recently welcomed guest speaker Christy Birch, who happens to be the 2026 world champion in the bench press.
Motivated by finishing second at the world competition in Norway last year, Christy trained diligently and came out on top in Poland to become the world champion.
She had lifts of 203, 220 and 226 pounds to win easily over the field. She competes in the level three section for her age and weight.
